Le Jazz après shopping: Yves Peeters invites...

Yves plays the drums since the age of fourteen, back then playing mainly rock and funk music. When he was seventeen, he discovered jazz and one year later he enrolled in the jazz department of the Lemmensinstituut (Conservatory of Leuven), where he graduated in 2002. During and after his studies, Yves got lessons with great drummers like Dré Pallemaerts, Billy Hart and Keith Copeland. He also participated in several jazz workshops in Belgium and abroad.

In Belgium Yves learned a lot by playing with great musicians such as Laurent Blondiau, Bart Defoort, Kris Defoort, Jozef Dumoulin, Bert Joris, Steve Houben, Tcha Limberger, Jacques Pirotton, Ben Sluijs, Nicolas Thys, Frank Vaganée, Hans Van Oost, Jack Van Poll, Erik Vermeulen, …. He was leader and co-leader of different bands: Walkin’ Tiptoe Quartet, Vansina/Peeters Quartet, Yves Peeters Quartet featuring Kris Defoort, and Le Petit Cirque.
