Susan Clynes' musical career starts from birth as she receives her frst piano from her dad, pianist/composer Darius Clynes. She then grows up with music as mothertongue and studies piano and composition with among others Erik Vermeulen and Frank Nuyts, and singing with Marie-Sophie Talbot and Barbara Wiernick.
At the age of 17 she already produces her frst album “Sugar for a Dream” as a singer-songwriter (composing, singing and playing piano). Today her new trio (with Dries Geusens on bass and Laurens Van Bouwelen on drums) is exploring the boundaries of pop music, mixing it with her experience in contemporary composition, and jazz.
Susan Clynes is a versatile singer, comfortable in all styles, with an irreproachable technique and blazing energy.
